The Juan Carlos I Industrial Park is located in the Valencian town of Almussafes (Valencia), next to the Ford Spain factory, and it was inaugurated in 1996. Among its peculiarities, it stands out the fact that most of the companies that make it up, a total of 120, belong to the automotive sector and are direct suppliers of the Ford multinational. One factor that has made this business area in one of the world’s leading logistics centers in the automotive field.

Ford Spain and the industrial park

The contribution of Ford Spain for the development of the Industrial Park has been very important, since more than 90% of the companies that were installed in the first phase are Ford suppliers. In the second phase, they are close to 35%, although the surface occupied by Ford suppliers reaches 50%.

Importance of the industrial park in Almussafes

During these years, the Industrial Park has received visits from all the multinationals in the automotive sector and the specialized press. At present, its novel logistical approaches are being applied by the most advanced companies in the automotive industry. These include the three tunnels that connect the Ford factory with the Industrial Park, and through which ten companies automatically send (by electrified monorail) the sequenced parts to the assembly lines of the multinational.
